It’s a Touching Gesture, but Still a Little Creepy
According to L’Equipe, a number of spectators at the Japan-Croatia match Saturday were surprised to see a young Japanese woman place a piece of paper in front of her and move it according to the actions of the game.
It was a photo of her mother who, before she died, paid for the woman’s trip and seats. The woman told fans sitting near her she simply wanted to show the match to her mother, to thank her.
