Girl Found in Forest Tells of Kidnap, Rape Ordeal

A 16-year-old girl told Sheriff’s Department detectives Tuesday that she and her boyfriend were kidnapped, held hostage three days in Norwalk and left to die in the Angeles National Forest.

The partially clothed teenager, who told authorities she had been raped during the ordeal, flagged down a motorist in the Angeles National Forest about 12 miles north of Azusa. The girl was driven to a nearby fire station, then taken by county fire department helicopter to County-USC Medical Center, where she was in satisfactory condition Tuesday night.

The girl said she had seen her boyfriend being stabbed by the assailants. On Tuesday morning, the San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team and a sheriff’s helicopter pilot searched for the boyfriend in an area of the Angeles National Forest that the girl had described. But the search teams could not find the boyfriend and the search was called off in the early afternoon.
