* Corona del Mar at Laguna Beach, 6 p.m. Friday: This matchup features two of the county’s best teams. The Artists are led by 6-foot-4 junior setter Miles McGann, the Pacific Coast League co-MVP last season, and 6-4 senior middle blocker Aidan Leedom. The Sea Kings have junior Dennis Alshuler, a 6-5 middle blocker, returning from a team that reached the Division III final last season.

* Santa Margarita at Marina, 6 p.m. Tuesday: Marina Coach Darrick Lucero led the Vikings to section and state titles in girls’ volleyball, and his boys’ squad gets an early test when the defending Division II champions visit. Marcus Skacel, a 6-5 senior outside hitter, leads Santa Margarita, and he is one of the county’s best all-around players.
