Rumor and Reality Keep Getting Closer
With regards to Larry Stewart calling out Jim Rome for unsubstantiated reporting in the Del Harris fiasco [March 6], I find it interesting that the L.A. Times found the story important enough to respond to it on the front page of their sport section the next day. Also, the Laker organization itself has yet to stand by their man. Furthermore, Mr. Stewart’s criticism of Rome and sports radio seems to suggest his journalism is superior to the free flow of opinions that makes sports radio both dynamic and entertaining--things Larry Stewart’s articles are clearly lacking.
