Griffin Helps Titans Get Softball Sweep

Cal State Fullerton had little trouble with visiting Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as the Titans swept a Big West Conference softball doubleheader Sunday.
Wendi Griffin had two hits and four runs batted in to help the Titans (31-28, 15-15) to a 11-3 victory in the second game that was called after five innings because of the mercy rule. Chrissy Hartman, who came in as a reliever in the first inning, picked up the victory to improve to 9-8.
The Titans won the first game, 7-2. Dara Marsolo had a double and two RBIs for the Titans.
San Luis Obispo is 11-19 in conference.
In the UC San Diego baseball tournament:
Chapman takes second--Chapman had a two-run lead going into the seventh inning of the title game, but UC San Diego scored four runs in the seventh and three in the eighth to win, 13-8. Esteban Enriquez had four RBIs for Chapman (21-11).
The Panthers played UC San Diego earlier Sunday and won, 10-6. Rob O’Brien had two hits and three RBIs and teammate Luis Garcia had two RBIs.
