In the other Century League game:

Canyon 3, Orange 2--Chrystal Hewitt knocked in the winning run with a two-out single in the sixth for Canyon (19-11, 6-3).

In the Academy League:

St. Margaret’s 15, Connelly 1 (5 innings, mercy)--Abbey Arnold had two doubles, a triple and three RBIs and Amber Arnold struck out 11 for St. Margaret’s (16-1, 7-0).

In the Empire League:

El Dorado 2, Cypress 1--Lauren Gallardo’s two-run home run provided the difference for El Dorado (14-9, 6-4). Melissa Hobson pitched a one-hitter. Cypress is 13-11, 5-4.

Kennedy 2, Loara 0--Nicole Crouse struck out 12 in a three-hitter for Kennedy (17-6, 9-0). Christen Fien and Erica Duncan had RBI singles in the fifth inning, and Kelly Bunker had two hits and scored a run.

In the Freeway League:

Sonora 4, Buena Park 0--Dawn Ramynke had two doubles and an RBI and Erica Lewis had two hits for host Sonora (17-10, 7-2). Buena Park is 8-14, 2-7.

Troy 1, No. 10 La Habra 0--Lindsey Knoff (14-7) pitched a three-hitter, struck out 10 and also singled home Crystal Moore in the fourth inning with the only hit for Troy (18-10, 5-4). La Habra (18-7, 8-1) had already clinched the league title.

In the Garden Grove League:

Garden Grove 2, Los Amigos 0 (9 innings)--Nuvia Marti pitched a three-hitter and drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly for Garden Grove (16-8-1, 9-3). Los Amigos (13-6, 7-4) plays Rancho Alamitos today for the third playoff spot.

La Quinta 6, Santiago 4--Winning pitcher Heidi Foster hit her county-leading seventh home run in the first inning for La Quinta (7-14, 4-8).

In the Golden West League:

Rosary 2, Tustin 1--Erin Connors had two hits for league champion Rosary (21-6, 9-0). Tustin is 9-12-1, 4-5.

Ocean View 10, Santa Ana 0 (6, mercy)--Daniella Garcia and Tia Jordan hit home runs for second-place Ocean View (17-9, 7-2).

In the Olympic League:

Calvary Chapel 6, Orange Lutheran 1--Jacqueline Beadle and Amanda Halloway had three hits apiece as Calvary Chapel (17-4, 9-0) held off Orange Lutheran (16-8, 7-2) to win the league title.

Whittier Christian 14, Brethren Christian 0 (6, mercy)--Celina Camarillo had three hits and six RBIs for Whittier Christian (10-13, 5-4).

In the Orange League:

Anaheim 1, Magnolia 0 (8)--Yesenia Rodriguez singled home Darlene Tu’ua in the bottom of the eighth for Anaheim (4-15, 1-8).

Brea Olinda 10, Savanna 0--Geney Orris (11-2) pitched her third no-hitter and also drove in three runs for Brea Olinda (17-5, 9-0).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Laguna Hills 6, Aliso Niguel 1--Second-place Aliso Niguel (9-12, 8-2) committed five errors that enabled Laguna Hills (18-6, 10-0) to score five unearned runs and win its seventh league title in eight years. Leea Harlan (15-4) scattered five hits for the victory.

In the Sea View League:

No. 8 El Toro 1, No. 9 Santa Margarita 0--Suzanne Guy and Susan Churchwell (9-6) combined on a no-hitter, and Sondra Milchiker singled with two outs in the seventh and scored on Megan Smietana’s triple for El Toro (18-10, 5-3). Santa Margarita is 16-9-1, 2-5.

No. 5 Irvine 3, No. 3 Woodbridge 1--Irvine center fielder Katie Morrison threw out two runners at the plate to help preserve the victory.

Woodbridge pitcher Christy Robitaille was thwarted in her attempt to tie the county’s career victory record of 83 set by Kennedy’s Cheryl Longeway (1988-91). Robitaille has one more chance this afternoon when Woodbridge plays Santa Margarita. With a victory, Woodbridge clinches the Sea View League title.

In the South Coast League:

No. 1 Mater Dei 6, San Clemente 0--Monica Lucatero hit two home runs and Tia Bollinger improved her record to 14-1 for host Mater Dei (24-3, 9-0).

In the Sunset League:

Fountain Valley 9, Esperanza 1--Cary Baker won his 300th game as coach at Fountain Valley. Baker (300-142-7) is second to Los Alamitos’ Jami Shannon (317-168-3) among the county’s active coaches. Marti McKeever had a bases-loaded double for the Barons (15-12, 5-3).

No. 6 Marina 3, Edison 0--Host Marina (21-5, 8-1) clinched the Sunset League title as Heather Hagen (16-3) struck out nine in a one-hitter.
