Estancia Hires Football Coach

Dave Perkins, who grew up in Costa Mesa and attended Newport Harbor High, was named football coach at Estancia on Monday.

Perkins, 46, most recently coached four seasons at San Bernardino and guided the Cardinals to the San Andreas League title after they had won only 14 games in four years before Perkins’ arrival. San Bernardino was 1-9, 2-8, 4-6 and 8-3 under his direction.
