Four suspects were being held on suspicion of robbery Friday in connection with a Pasadena market holdup in which employees and a security guard were tied up and several thousand dollars was stolen.

Pasadena police captured three of the men after a silent alarm alerted them to the robbery late Thursday, allowing officers to promptly seal off the northwest Pasadena neighborhood around the Farm Fresh Market on East Orange Boulevard.

Officers saw a man in a ski mask and detained him, police said. A second man was caught nearby a short while later, after a resident reported seeing an intruder.

The Pasadena Police Department’s Special Enforcement Section made a yard-to-yard search and about 2 a.m., officers found a third man on nearby Ashtabula Street.

A fourth man was not arrested until later Friday morning, police said.

Joseph Hernandez, 21, and Richard Fitesimons, 24, both of Pasadena, and Lawrence Lopez, 18, of West Covina were booked on charges of armed robbery. Their bail was set at $35,000. The name of the fourth suspect was not released because he is a minor.
