Santa Ynez 41, La Canada 6--La Canada, which allowed 426 yards, didn’t score until the final play of the game on a 79-yard pass play from Nate Dane to Greg Swenson at Santa Ynez.
La Canada (5-6) managed only 36 yards rushing against the fourth-seeded Pirates, who rushed for 334 yards. Jared Swanson of Santa Ynez (9-2) had 118 yards in 13 carries, including a 14-yard touchdown.
Dane completed eight of 18 passes for 161 yards, with four interceptions. Swenson had five receptions for 114 yards.
Geoff LeBeau rushed for 75 yards in 11 carries for Santa Ynez, including touchdowns of 16 and four yards.
