2 Men Convicted of Selling Hides of Endangered Cats

Two men face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine after being convicted of selling the hides of endangered wildcats.

Timm J. Haas and John L. Klump were convicted Wednesday.

Federal prosecutors said Klump and Haas sold a mounted jaguar, a mounted ocelot, a jaguar rug and an ocelot hide for $13,000 to undercover officers in 1993.
