Tonight’s Game: Green Bay at Detroit
Kickoff: 5:15 p.m. PDT.
* TV: ESPN.
* Records: Packers 4-1, Lions 1-4.
* Story line: Both teams are smarting--the Packers because of a 37-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 5 that ended their 25-game winning streak at Lambeau Field and the Lions because of a miserable start that includes a 31-27 loss to the Chicago Bears in their most recent game. “Whenever you lose going into the bye week, it’s a bad thing,” Packer defensive tackle Santana Dotson said. “You have too much time to think about it.” One more thing for the Lions to think about: They lost to the Packers on opening day, 38-19, as Brett Favre completed 24 of 32 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Favre, though, has struggled in the Pontiac Silverdome, where three of his passes were intercepted last season in a 26-15 loss. The Lions’ Barry Sanders has nine 100-yard games against the Packers.
* Line: Green Bay by 6 1/2.
