J.D. Drew finally got a chance to show what he can do at the major-league level after being one of six September call-ups by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Drew hit a combined .322 with seven homers and 24 RBI in 46 games this season, his first as property of a major-league club after being selected fifth overall by the Cardinals in the June draft.

The Cardinals also recalled pitchers Rich Croushore, Curtis King, Manny Aybar and Jose Jimenez and outfielder Mark Little from Memphis.

Drew played Tuesday night and was hitless in two at-bats.
