Santa Barbara 19, Oxnard 17--Nick Dominelli’s two-yard touchdown run with 31 seconds to play lifted the Dons at Santa Barbara.
Oxnard took a 10-0 lead in the first half on a 14-yard scoring pass from Louis Williams to Aaron Neal and a 38-yard field goal by Sal Aguilar.
While the Yellowjackets out-gained the Dons, 187-35, in the first half, Oxnard made several mistakes. Williams committed three turnovers in the first half, including two interceptions.
Derek Lopez of Santa Barbara returned the second interception 33 yards for a touchdown to pull the Dons within 10-6 just before the half.
Oxnard also had eight penalties for 54 yards in the first half.
Williams completed 15 of 31 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions. He rushed for 56 yards in three carries and gave the Yellowjackets of 17-13 lead with 7:42 left to play on a 42-yard run.
