Check this out: Dallas Coach Chan Gailey, who invented “Slash” in Pittsburgh, using Kordell Stewart as a wide receiver and quarterback, has Deion Sanders taking snaps directly from center in practice.
Sanders was an option quarterback in high school and may be used in short-yardage situations for Dallas.
“He’d be a wonderful option quarterback for us,” Gailey said. “I think about that all the time. But I think about a lot of things. Thinking and doing are two different things.”
