“An Evening With Theodore Taylor,” featuring the award-winning Laguna Beach author of adult and young adult fiction and nonfiction, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Newport Beach Central Library, 1000 Avocado Ave.

Taylor, whose books include “The Cay,” “The Trouble With Tuck” and “The Flight of Jesse Leroy Brown,” will discuss the evolution of books and the process of writing. For more information about the free event, call (949) 717-3801.
