In Orange Empire conference men’s volleyball:

Golden West 3, Palomar 0--Evan Hook had 10 kills and eight digs and Austin George had nine kills and five blocks for Golden West (16-3, 12-1), which moved into first place with a 15-9, 15-9, 15-6 victory.

Grossmont defeated Orange Coast, 15-4, 15-9, 15-10, leaving the teams tied for second at 11-2.

In Orange Empire Conference softball:

Saddleback 3, Golden West 0--Tara Kroener (20-6) threw a three-hitter for Saddleback (26-8-1, 8-2). Kroener, who leads the conference in victories, walked six and struck out 10.

She also doubled and scored on Tracy Habiger’s squeeze to start the Gauchos’ three-run fourth inning.

In Orange Empire Conference men’s tennis:

Golden West 7, Fullerton 2--J.C. Arzaga and Chris Tobolski defeated Hector Martinez and David Cherson, 7-5, 6-0, in doubles for Golden West. In singles, Arzaga defeated Martinez, 6-1, 6-2, and Tobolski beat Cherson, 6-1, 6-1.
