* HOCKEY: NHL Breakout, an off-ice touring hockey festival, will be at Santa Monica (south of the Santa Monica Pier and north of Ocean Park Boulevard). Events include street and in-line hockey tournaments, skill-testing events and merchandise exhibits, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 9 a.m.-3:30 Sunday.

* COLLEGE FOOTBALL: USC football players and coaches will available to sign autographs as part of the Trojan Huddle football scrimmage and barbecue at Howard Jones Field and Brian Kennedy Field at USC, 11 a.m. USC athletic department merchandise will be on sale at 10 a.m. outside the fields.
