Lancaster’s Dozen Hits Spark Another Victory

Greg Connors hit a two-run home run and an RBI double and Harvey Hargrove had two runs batted in to help Lancaster win at Visalia, 10-2, in a California League game Tuesday night.

Reliever Tim McClaskey picked up the decision in relief for the JetHawks (5-2), who had 12 hits and no errors.

The JetHawks split a doubleheader against host Visalia on Monday, winning the first game, 5-4, and losing the second, 5-1.

Juan Ramos allowed two hits and one run in 3 2/3 innings of relief for the JetHawks’ victory. Hargrove homered and made an outstanding catch in the outfield.

The run scored by Visalia in the second inning of the first game broke a 19-inning scoreless streak for JetHawk pitchers. The victory gave the JetHawks a 4-1 start, the best in their four-year history.

JetHawks outfielder Alexander Fernandez had two hits in the second game.
