Orange Coast 9, Fullerton 7--With two outs and runners on second and third in the ninth, Orange Coast reliever Drew Parkin struck out Mike McCue to earn his second save.

Adam Anderson had two hits, three RBIs and three runs scored and Jason Reuss hit a two-run home run, his 11th, in the sixth for Orange Coast (22-14, 9-7), which has won 10 of 11.

Mike Montanio and Rich Pohle hit home runs for Fullerton (18-18, 5-11).

Riverside 7, Golden West 4--Pat Gonzalez hit a run-scoring double to give the Tigers a 5-1 lead in the second inning. The Rustlers answered with three runs in the fifth to come within one, 5-4, but Riverside starter Rick Sander (6-1) gave up only two hits the rest of the way. Joe Yagher went three for five and Reuben Gulledge went two for four with two RBIs for the host Rustlers (15-20, 5-13). Riverside is 22-11-1, 10-6.

In the Orange Empire Conference men’s tennis tournament:

Cappello wins--Saddleback’s John Cappello lost his first set, 6-2, but rallied with 6-3, 7-5, victories to defeat teammate Chalid Naffa in the singles final.

Golden West’s J.C. Arzaza and Chris Tobolski, defeated Cappello, the conference MVP, and Naffa, in the doubles final, 7-5, 6-3.
