Poly 14, North Hollywood 0--Manny Flores had three hits, including a home run, and seven runs batted in in an East Valley League game at North Hollywood that was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Flores hit a three-run home run and a two-run single in a nine-run fifth inning for Poly (16-5, 9-0).
Hoover 11, Crescenta Valley 6--Chris Hoffman, Rick Mejia and Vince De Las Alas hit three-run homers for the Tornaodes against the first-place Falcons in a Pacific League game at Hoover.
Crescenta Valley (14-2, 7-1), ranked No. 1 in The Times’ regional poll, had nine hits, including a home run by David Decker.
Junior right-hander Josh Head (5-0) struck out 10 and walked four for Hoover (11-5, 3-3).
Thousand Oaks 7-6, Camarillo 5-2--Tracy Goebel had three hits and Chris Cordeiro had two in the first game, and Doug Hutton had three hits, including a home run, in the second game for Thousand Oaks a nonleague doubleheader at Camarillo.
Aaron Foster and Garrett Valencia each had two doubles for Camarillo (12-4) in the first game.
Travis Rice had two hits and drove in two runs for Thousand Oaks (13-4) in the second game.
Notre Dame 8, Alemany 4--Joel Kirsten had three hits, including a double and a home run, and drove in two runs, and Phil Polanco (8-0) pitched five innings for the Knights in a Mission League victory at Alemany.
Polanco struck out five and walked nine.
Jon Horwitz homered and Alec Moss had three hits for Notre Dame (15-4, 6-1).
Crespi 10, Harvard-Westlake 4--Mike Jackson struck out five, walked one and allowed three hits in six innings for the Celts (15-5, 6-1) in a Mission League victory at Valley College.
Chaminade 12, Calabasas 11--Jordan Hoff hit a two-out, two-run single in the eighth to give the Eagles (14-4) a 12-9 lead in a nonleague game at Calabasas.
Spencer Gordon had four hits and four RBIs for Chaminade.
Hart 10, Burbank 0--Justin Wiley (6-1) pitched a five-hitter, struck out eight and walked one for the Indians in a Foothill League game at Burbank.
Ryan Haag had two home runs and three RBIs, and Matt Friedrichsen had a home run and three RBIs for Hart (15-4, 7-1).
Granada Hills 10, Kennedy 0--Jeremy Rooney and Jon Bringuier hit home runs, and Kameron Loe allowed two hits in a North Valley League game at Granada Hills called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Bringuier’s homer in the fourth inning, his eighth, gave Granada Hills (13-4, 6-2) an 8-0 lead and his single in the fifth drove in the last two runs.
Rooney’s home run highlighted a four-run first inning.
Loe (7-1) struck out five.
Reseda 5, Van Nuys 4--Leo Rosales scored from third on a wild pitch in the seventh inning to lift the Regents (7-9, 2-5) in a Mid-Valley League game at Reseda.
Chris Coleman’s run-scoring single for Reseda tied the score, 4-4, earlier in the inning.
Monroe 7, Canoga Park 6--Vince Vargas’ two-run single capped a four-run sixth inning and gave the Vikings (4-12, 3-6) a Mid-Valley League victory at Monroe.
Birmingham 9, Taft 5--Jose Aguilar’s two-run single highlighted a seven-run second inning for the Patriots in a West Valley League game at Birmingham.
Billy McGrath added two hits and two RBIs for Birmingham (12-9, 3-6).
Paraclete 11, L.A. Baptist 3--Matt Parris (5-2) pitched a five-hitter, struck out 11 and walked eight for the Spirits (11-6, 1-0) in an Alpha League game at L.A. Baptist.
Parris had two hits and Dave Brown hit a three-run home run in the second to give the Spirits a 6-0 lead.
Brentwood 13, Montclair Prep 3--Yuki Sano hit a home run and a double for the Mounties (2-12, 0-3) against first-place Brentwood (9-7, 3-0) in a Delphic League game at Mission Hills Little League Complex.
The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Campbell Hall 10, Whitney 8--Aaron Kerr hit a grand slam in the third inning and tripled in the fifth for the Vikings (15-1, 1-0) in a Delphic League victory at Campbell Hall.
