Beck Finds Support for New Album in His Hometown

Share

Beck went begging on the national sales chart with his new album, “Midnite Vultures,” but in his hometown the singer made a strong debut at No. 7. Another L.A.-based act, the Beastie Boys, also enjoyed home cooking, registering at No. 8 on the Southern California chart but only No. 19 nationally with its new two-CD anthology. Making quick exits from the Top 10: Rage Against the Machine and Fiona Apple.
