In the final of the El Dorado Gary Raya tournament:

No. 8 Rosary 68, El Dorado 35--Jennifer Farner had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Maggie Barnett had 15 points for Rosary.

In the final of the Fountain Valley tournament:

No. 9 Irvine 78, Westminster 41--Ali Grechko scored 20 points and Jody Carlson had 15 to lead the Vaqueros. Westminster was led by Christine Arganda with 10 points.

In the final of University South Coast tournament:

No. 7 San Clemente 76, Laguna Hills 50--San Clemente outscored Laguna Hills, 39-23, in the first half and cruised to the championship. The Tritons had four players score in double figures, led by tournament MVP Kristin Jenkins’ 20 points. Megan Aaker led the Hawks with 13 points.

In the final of the El Dorado Gary Raya boys’ basketball tournament:

Aliso Niguel 69, Corona 54--Brandon Sievers scored 15 points for Aliso Niguel (5-2), and teammates Sky Chambers and Damian Hill scored 13 points each.

In the final of the Foothill Bob Osborne tournament:

Marina 60, Mission Viejo 48--Senior forward Dustin Kaatz scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds for Marina (6-0).

In the final of the Fullerton Tribe tournament:

Magnolia 62, Fullerton 53--Geoffrey Clayton scored 22 points to lead Magnolia (7-1). Akachi Azubuike scored 20 points for Fullerton (5-1).

In the final of the Tournament of Champions:

No. 1 Mater Dei 63, Compton Centennial 53--Jamal Sampson had 19 points and 14 rebounds, Cedric Bozeman scored 13 and Steve Scoggin had 11 for Mater Dei.

In the semifinals of Long Beach Millikan boys’ soccer tournament:

No. 6 Trabuco Hills 2, No. 4 El Dorado 0--Jay Arntson scored in the second half to clinch the victory for Trabuco Hills (6-1). The Mustangs play Santa Barbara in the final Monday at 4:30 p.m.

In the final of the Mater Dei girls’ soccer tournament:

No. 5 Mission Viejo 2, No. 4 Esperanza 0--Jen Thais scored two minutes into the game for the Diablos and Britany Nachtrieb scored midway through the first half.

In a pool-play game:

No. 6 Aliso Niguel 1, No. 1 Capistrano Valley 0--Leigh Logsdon scored with 10 minutes to play for the Wolverines.

In the semifinals of the South Torrance tournament:

Ventura Buena 1, Corona del Mar 1 (Buena wins on penalty kicks, 3-1)--Margit Vogele scored a first-half goal and Britta Vogele made nine saves for Corona del Mar (5-1-1).

In the final of the Villa Park girls’ water polo tournament:

No. 1 Newport Harbor 4, No. 2 Villa Park 3--Kyndra Cox scored two goals to lead Newport Harbor. Cindy Henn scored with 4:32 remaining to bring Villa Park within one, 4-3.

At the Foot Locker cross-country national championships:

Escobar takes 12th, Mejia 26th--Villa Park’s Augie Escobar finished 12th and Katella’s Danny Mejia was 26th to help the West team finish second behind the Midwest in Orlando, Fla.

Escobar completed the 5,000-meter course in 15 minutes 14.83 seconds, making him the first Californian and fourth team member to finish. Mejia finished in 15:58.10.
