* LOYOLA MARYMOUNT (1-5) at TEXAS EL PASO (4-2), 6, KXLU (88.9 FM)--The theme is becoming a familiar one for the Lions; can they rebound from a lopsided loss to a Division I opponent? Saturday’s 96-55 defeat at home to USC was the fifth consecutive loss for Loyola Marymount, whose only victory was in the season opener against Cal Baptist of the NAIA. And the Lions have only one home game in their next four. The Miners have been off since Dec. 6 and are led by 6-foot-9 center Brandon Wolfram, who averages 19.8 points. The Lions haven’t played the Miners since losing to them twice in 1939.
