PACOIMA — A fire that raced through a Pacoima home, killing a 69-year-old woman and injuring two others, was accidental, authorities said Sunday.
The woman, whose name was not released by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, died in the fire that broke out about 7:40 p.m. Saturday in the 11400 block of Kamloops Street, said Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Bob Collis.
Two others received minor injuries.
Contrary to initial reports, arson investigators found no evidence that an explosion led to the fire or that the house was being used as a drug lab.
The cause of the blaze is believed to be accidental, but Collis said the investigation into the incident will continue. Losses were estimated at $150,000 to the building and $45,000 to the property, Collis said.
