Jaime Gast scored a career-high 39 points, but Concordia lost to Cal Poly Pomona, 86-76, in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday at Concordia.
Gast made 14 of 16 field goal attempts, helping the Eagles shoot a season-best 55% from the field.
Concordia (7-2) trailed by two at the half, but Cal Poly Pomona went on a 10-0 run to start the second half. The Eagles took the lead, 69-67, with 5 minutes 16 seconds remaining but turned the ball over seven times in the final five minutes.
