No. 2 Capistrano Valley 6, San Diego University 0--The Cougars (8-1) increased their tournament total to 15 goals in three games. Lindsay Greco and Ashley Casas each had two for Capistrano Valley and Haleigh Roach and Jennifer Lyons had one. The Cougars play Santa Margarita in today’s semifinal at 9:30 a.m.

No. 3 Santa Margarita 2, No. 8 Edison 0--Liz Bartlett and Katie Frattone each scored a goal to advance the Eagles (8-2) to the semifinals.

In the Trabuco Hills boys’ tournament:

No. 1 Santa Margarita 1, El Toro 0--The Eagles (12-1-2) advanced to the final when forward Sebastian Galmarini volleyed a free kick from Spencer George past goalkeeper Cameron Rossi in the 60th minute. Santa Margarita played without three starters. El Toro is 5-3-2.

Trabuco Hills 2, No. 4 Edison 2 (Trabuco Hills advances on penalty kicks, 5-3)--The unranked Mustangs knocked off their second top-five team of the day. Edison (8-0-1) scored twice on goals by Jeff Kunze and Jeff Kimkopf. Goalkeeper Jason Mooneyham had 12 saves and stopped one penalty kick for Trabuco Hills (10-3).

In the Marina tournament:

Huntington Beach 1, Katella 0--Sophomore Joel Murphy scored 20 minutes into the second half for Huntington Beach (9-0-1), which advances to today’s final against Mater Dei.

Huntington Beach defeated Esperanza, 3-0, in an earlier quarterfinal game.

No. 3 Mater Dei 5, West Hills Chaminade 1--Junior Mark Thornberry scored three goals and Kevin Novak and Ruben Rosales each added one to lead Mater Dei (18-2-1).
