Ryan Tenpas

Basketball

Tenpas, a forward from El Dorado High, has become the top rebounder in Orange County this season. He had 20 points and 18 rebounds as the Chargers beat Golden West, 76-62, then came back with 18 points and seven rebounds in a 76-71 victory over Fullerton. Tenpas is averaging 9.2 rebounds.

* Saddleback, freshman. Scored 17 points and had 12 rebounds as the Gauchos beat Riverside, 79-74.

Tracy Downs

Golden West, Freshman

Basketball

Downs, from Pacifica High, had season highs in scoring and rebounding last week. She scored 27 points and got 15 rebounds as Golden West, winless in conference, played first-place Irvine Valley tough before losing, 74-67. She scored 22 points and got 13 rebounds, but the Rustlers lost to Cypress, 68-53.
