Ice Dogs Win in Shootout

Geoff Sarjeant held Fort Wayne scoreless in a shootout Saturday night to lead the Ice Dogs to a 2-1 victory over the Komets before 7,256 in Michigan.
Sean Tallaire had a second-period goal and the only score in the shootout for Long Beach (32-20-1), which is in second place in the Western Conference’s Southwest Division.
Viacheslav Butsayev scored for Fort Wayne in the second period.
