Ocean View’s Lindquist to Attend USC
Tracy Lindquist, a three-time All-Southern Section first-team setter from Ocean View, signed to play women’s volleyball at USC, the school announced Friday.
Lindquist helped Ocean View win section and state titles in 1997 and was a Times first-team all-county selection twice.

Phillip King of Long Beach defeated John Paul Fruttero of San Marino, 6-0, 6-4, in the final of a men’s tennis qualifying event Friday at the Costa Mesa Tennis Center. King qualified for the $50,000 ATP Challenger tournament, which begins Monday at Nellie Gail Ranch in Laguna Hills.

The Zodiac will host the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer in an exhibition tonight at 7 p.m. at Mission Viejo High. The Rapids feature U.S. National team veteran Marcelo Balboa. The game was originally scheduled at Trabuco Hills High.
