Cypress 84, Golden West 79--Brad Smith tied a school record with eight three-pointers and had a career-high 32 points for host Cypress (10-21, 3-11). Golden West is 6-23, 1-13.

Fullerton 89, Santa Ana 74--Rashaun Thomas had 37 points and six three-pointers and Ronald Strange had 19 points and 21 rebounds to lead host Fullerton (14-7, 5-9). Santa Ana is 21-10, 9-5).

In Orange Empire Conference women’s games:

Orange Coast 59, Irvine Valley 53--Irvine Valley, which had its 15-game winning streak snapped, held its last lead at 44-42 with 7:21 remaining before Adria Sortino made two three-pointers to spark an 11-2 run that put Orange Coast (25-6, 9-5) ahead for good.

In the Cy-Coast tournament:

Orange Coast 10, Southwestern 5--Brandon Thompson hit a two-run home run, his fifth, and Brian Wahlbrink hit a run-scoring double to highlight a three-run seventh for host Orange Coast (6-4).
