Long Beach State 83, Pacific 75--For nearly 30 minutes, Long Beach played nearly flawless offense, leading directly to the victory before 2,967 at the Pyramid.

The 49ers led, 64-44, with 10:53 remaining--simply too big a margin for the Tigers to overcome.

Long Beach will be the second-seeded Western Division team in the Big West tournament. Long Beach (12-14, 9-7) won a tiebreaker with Pacific (14-12, 9-7) and will play Idaho in the first round Thursday night.

Long Beach made 58.3% of its shots and sophomore guard Ramel Lloyd led all five starters in double figures with 22 points.
