A 23-year-old pizza deliveryman suspected in at least 11 attacks on Latino women in the mid-Wilshire area was charged Friday with numerous felony charges, authorities said.

Raymundo Alfonso Palacios of Los Angeles had been scheduled to be arraigned Friday but the hearing was continued until Feb. 5, said district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons.

The defendant faces 11 counts of burglary, eight counts of assault with a deadly weapon, three counts of robbery and eight counts of sexual battery, said Linda Loftfield, a deputy district attorney of the sex crimes division.

He is also charged with one count of forcible copulation and two counts of assault with intent to commit rape.

Palacios was arrested Wednesday in connection with a series of sexual assaults that began Dec. 20, said Police Det. Felicia Hall.

At least three women were attacked early Wednesday before officers arrested Palacios in the 1500 block of Wilton Place, said LAPD spokeswoman Charlotte Broughton. In one of those attacks, a vehicle with personal identification was left behind. That led to Palacios, police said.

He is being held on $255,000 bail.
