Man Charged in Sexual Assaults on Teen Girls
A building contractor suspected of raping at least seven women, most of them teenage girls in upscale neighborhoods, was charged Tuesday with 23 counts of sexual assault, authorities said.
A trail beginning seven months ago with a parking ticket led detectives on Friday morning to the home of Steven Morales in Chino Hills, police said.
Morales, 32, allegedly struck at least six different times, sexually assaulting girls as young as 13 in five separate cities.
Police said they tracked him down from a citation his car received about the same time in November as a Seal Beach rape. The car, police said, was parked two blocks from the victim’s home, where the assault took place.
