* Luis Gonzalez will discuss and sign “Spirits of the Revolution” at 7 p.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble, 13712 Jamboree Road, Irvine.

* Presidential hopeful Dan Quayle will sign “Worth Fighting For” at noon Friday at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace, 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd., Yorba Linda. Tickets for Quayle’s 11 a.m. talk are $14; the signing is free, but only books purchased at the library will be signed.
