Liberty Earns Eighth Home Win

NEW YORK — Crystal Robinson scored 15 points to lead New York to a 61-56 victory over the expansion Orlando Miracle on Tuesday.
Vickie Johnson, Sophia Witherspoon and Teresa Weatherspoon had 11 points each as the Liberty gained its eighth victory at home, a WNBA best.
Robinson sank consecutive three-point shots and two free throws to give New York a 59-54 lead with 2:24 remaining.
Taj McWilliams and Nykesha Sales were a combined two for four from the free throw line to bring Orlando within 59-56 at 1:10. Orlando’s Shannon Johnson stole the ball but missed a layup and Weatherspoon made two free throws for a 61-56 lead with 28 seconds remaining.
