Soccer Victory

I’m puzzled by the media reaction to the women’s World Cup soccer victory.

Of course I’m proud of our team, but I wanted to see the Chinese team too. They traveled all that distance and played their hearts out, losing by only one point.

To ignore them so completely smacks of bad sportsmanship, in my opinion.

Remember the Ping-Pong diplomacy of a couple of decades ago? I think we missed an opportunity here.
