NEWPORT BEACH
The nonprofit citizens group Speak Up Newport will award two $1,000 scholarships to high school graduates Matthew Singer of Newport Harbor High School and Michael Lee D’Agostino of Corona del Mar High School for their outstanding service to the community and their schools. The award, to be given to the winners at the group’s Aug. 4 meeting, was established 10 years ago in memory of Speak Up Newport founder Dorothy Hardcastle.
