OK Expected for Recruiter Contract
Ventura County supervisors are expected to approve a $25,000 contract with a Los Angeles recruiting firm to help find a replacement for retiring chief executive Lin Koester.
DMG Maximus will solicit candidates and do initial screenings for Ventura County’s top executive post, said Barbara Journet, director of human resources.
A statewide search is underway and will take up to 14 weeks to complete, Journet said. Several Ventura County candidates have already expressed interest in the job, which pays between $101,284 and $150,456, she said.
Finalists will be interviewed by the board of supervisors in September, she said. Supervisors will vote on the contract Tuesday.
Koester, 58, is retiring next month, but has agreed to work until a successor is hired.
