Two men were killed and another injured Sunday night after an exchange of gunfire apparently involving family or friends, authorities said.

Few details were available about the shooting, which took place around 8:10 p.m. in the 1200 block of Tyler Street, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Rick Young.

“It appears to be an exchange of gunfire between two individuals,” said Young. “We have numerous witnesses we have detained and are interviewing them.”

Among the questions investigators were trying to answer is the relationship between the shooting victims--and whether anyone else was involved.

When police arrived, a man in his 30s was found lying in the middle of Green Street, said Young. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second man, believed to be in his mid- to late 30s, was found dead a short distance away in a Silver Pontiac after it apparently lost control and crashed into three parked cars at Tyler and Palmer streets, Young said.

The third victim was shot in the leg, according to Young. Authorities said his injuries were minor.
