Dominguez Earns Trip to Seventh Consecutive Finals

Senior guard Keith Kincade scored 25 points and had seven rebounds to help Compton Dominguez to a 93-73 victory over Moreno Valley Rancho Verde and the four-time defending champion Dons earned their seventh consecutive appearance in the Division II-AA finals.

Guard Ron Jackson scored 18 points and center Tyson Chandler had 12 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks for Dominguez.

Dominguez guard Marcus Moore did not start, but finished with nine points, seven rebounds and four steals.

Cerritos Gahr 76, Pasadena 73--Marques Jordan made a basket with 48 seconds left in the second overtime and Michael Williams made two fee throws with 16 seconds remaining as Gahr won the the other Division II-AA semifinal at Occidental College.

DIVISION I-A

Glendora 81, San Bernardino Pacific 77--Casey Jacobsen scored 27 points and Chris Clark had 21 points and 15 rebounds as the Tartans won in overtime at San Gorgonio.

DIVISION I-AA

Lakewood Artesia 56, Long Beach Jordan 42--Jason Kapono scored 15 points and the defending champion Pioneers returned to the championship game with the victory at Cerritos College.

Long Beach Poly 83, Corona Centennial 62--Ken Wright and Shea Anderson each scored 16 points for the Jackrabbitts in a semifinal at Long Beach City College.

DIVISION V-AA

Pasadena Poly 55, Desert 42--Koko Archibong scored 16 points and had 17 rebounds for Pasadena Poly, which improved to 27-0 with the semifinal victory at La Canada.

Ryan Haden scored 10 points and Marshall Duncan added nine for Poly, which extended a 24-16 halftime lead to as many as 15 points in the third quarter.
