A DiMaggio Tribute, Nick’s ‘Blue’ and Egypt’s Cleopatra Top the List

This weekend, a favorite children’s program goes prime time, deep secrets of the legendary Queen of the Nile are revealed and, in a tribute to the late sports hero, HBO repeats its acclaimed 1997 documentary “Where Have You Gone Joe DiMaggio?” tonight at 7.

The popular preschooler show, “Blue’s Clues,” gets a nighttime outing with “Blue’s Big Treasure Hunt” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Nickelodeon. Later that evening, French underwater explorer Franck Goddio unveils the results of his three-year expedition in Alexandria, Egypt’s eastern harbor, on the Discovery Channel’s “Cleopatra’s Palace: In Search of a Legend” at 9 p.m.. Following at 10 p.m. is the documentary “The Real Cleopatra.”

Bravo profiles Saul Zaentz, a former chicken farmer and record producer who produced the Oscar-winning best films “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” “Amadeus” and “The English Patient,” tonight at 7 and 10:30.

“David Sheehan’s Academy Awards Preview ‘99,” Saturday at 8 p.m. on KCBS, features the entertainment reporter’s interviews with nominees.

Analyst Jonathan Pond gives advice on financial freedom and investments on “Your Money Matters” at 8 p.m. Saturday on KCET-TV.

Huell Howser visits Southern California eateries on “Huell Howser’s Movable Feast,” at 6 p.m. Sunday on KCET-TV.

NBC repeats Steven Spielberg’s 1993 Oscar-winning Holocaust epic, “Schindler’s List,” Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes star.

Suzanne Somers, Timothy Busfield and Martin Sheen star in the Fox Family Channel thriller “The Darklings,” Sunday at 8 p.m.

Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac fame plays a struggling record producer who hires a teenage boy (Jonathan Tucker) as his vice president of talent on Showtime’s “Mr. Music” at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Two-time Oscar-nominated actress Mary McDonnell plays a small-town mother of three who discovers that her husband is having an affair with their daughter’s teacher on CBS’ “Replacing Dad” at 9 p.m. Sunday.

CBS kicks off the NCAA Basketball Tournament, known as March Madness, today at 9 a.m.

KCOP presents live coverage of the Los Angeles Marathon beginning Sunday at 8 a.m.

Ray Romano is the guest host of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Spielberg visits Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio,” Sunday at 5 and 9 p.m., for a special two-hour installment.

The season finale of the Fox comedy “That ‘70s Show,” Sunday at 8:30 p.m., finds Eric dreaming about the Death Star after seeing “Star Wars.”
