Justin Fassnacht of Marina signed with California to play water polo, Marina Coach Dave Carlson said.

Fassnacht scored 125 goals this season to pass Tom Ward’s school record of 120 set in 1986. Fassnacht was a first-team All-Southern Section and first-team All-Sunset League selection last season.

Fassnacht’s teammate, Jeff Larson, the Division II Southern Section player of the year, committed to USC, Carlson said. Larson had 113 goals this season, 60 assists and 149 steals. Larson is Marina’s all-time leading career scorer.
