In other nonleague softball:

Liberty Christian 12, Brethren Christian 2 (5, mercy)--Host Liberty Christian (10-1), scored three times in the second and seven times in the third. Danielle Mershon (9-1), struck out seven. Tristan Fernandez and Crissy Davis each hit home runs for the Minutemen. Danielle Hall hit a two-run homer for Brethren Christian (1-7).

Rancho Alamitos 7, Orange 0--Jami Weddle hit a three-run homer in the second inning and Kristina Hyllested pitched a two-hitter for host Rancho Alamitos (5-7).

Santa Margarita 3, Mission Viejo 2--Host Santa Margarita (7-3-1) fell behind early, but rallied for three runs in the fourth. Danielle Rodriguez (4-1) pitched a complete game for and got the victory and Carolyn Bullard went one for three with an RBI for the Eagles.

Sonora 1, La Mirada 0--Natalie Garcia scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for host Sonora (9-2) on a bases-loaded grounder to third when the La Mirada catcher dropped the throw.

In Garden Grove League boys’ volleyball:

Bolsa Grande 3, Rancho Alamitos 0--Nguyen had 11 kills for visiting Bolsa Grande, which won, 15-7, 15-8, 15-7.

In the Golden West League:

No. 7 Servite 3, Saddleback 0--Eric Barns led Servite (7-0, 2-0) with 13 kills, defeating Saddleback, 15-2, 15-7, 15-3. Rick Forester had 24 assists for the Friars.

In nonleague boys’ volleyball:

Dana Hills 3, Edison 0--Mark Bastia had 16 kills and Jacob Caldwell had 31 assists to help Dana Hills win, 15-12, 15-9, 15-5. The Dolphins improve to 4-2. Brian Gaeta had 14 kills to lead visiting Edison (1-4).

El Dorado 3, Villa Park 0--Bryce Lindsey had five kills for El Dorado, which won, 15-2, 15-5, 15-7. The Golden Hawks are 3-1.
