* Brian O’Flaherty of Westlake Village shot four-under par 68 on the Magnolia course at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., on Wednesday to qualify for match play in the Polo Junior Golf Classic.

O’Flaherty tied for third at 73-68--141 in the first American Junior Golf Assn. tournament of the season.

Justin Ohye of Calabasas finished at 78-76--154 and missed the cut.

Hana Kim of Encino stumbled in the second round on the Palm course but qualified for match play in the girls’ tournament at 70-85--155.

Younger sister Ina Kim qualified at 77-78--155.

MISCELLANY

* The West Valley Wolves Squirt B ice hockey team is holding a silent auction today through Saturday at North Hills Iceoplex in an attempt to raise $17,000 for a trip to the Paul Coffey International youth tournament in Toronto on Dec. 27-30.

Items to be auctioned include authentic jerseys and sports memorabilia from NHL, NFL and NBA teams as well as autographed items by Jerry West, Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier and Dick Butkus. There will be T-206 series tobacco baseball cards from 1909-1910.

The Wolves are hosting the “Get Stuffed in North Hills” tournament through Sunday. Auction items will be on display with bid sheets from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through Saturday at the Iceoplex.

* The Westlake High boys’ basketball team will play an alumni team at 7:30 p.m. Saturday to help raise funds for the program.
