Woman Struck by Vehicle Is Killed
A 58-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car Sunday while apparently jaywalking across a local street, police said.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was hit about 6 p.m. in the 11800 block of Magnolia Boulevard between Radford and Morella avenues, said Los Angeles Police Officer Marvin Jones.
LAPD Officer Chad Dellinger said the woman died at the scene of the accident. She did not use a crosswalk, he said.
“It was my understanding she was crossing mid-block,” Dellinger said. He added that the driver of the car was not charged.
