Antelope Valley Christian Overpowers Westmark, 60-20

Kenneth Williams rushed for 179 yards and five touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass to lead Antelope Valley Christian High to a 60-20 victory over Westmark on Saturday in a nonleague eight-man game at Antelope Valley Christian.

Williams scored on runs of 25, 25, 28, seven and eight yards and had a 25-yard scoring reception. He had two touchdowns called back because of penalties.

Solomon De Frances added touchdown runs of three and five yards for Antelope Valley Christian (1-2-1), and Kim Chen had a three-yard scoring run.

Jason Diamond rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns for Westmark (1-2), which took a 20-6 first-quarter lead before Antelope Valley rallied.

In other eight-man games:

Grace Brethren 46, South Bay Lutheran 0--Tyson Larson rushed 10 times for 98 yards and three touchdowns and made six tackles to lead the Lancers in a Heritage League victory at Grace Brethren.

Ryan Shaffer added touchdown receptions of 14 and 27 yards, and Steve McClain rushed five times for 28 yards and one touchdown, and kicked four extra points for Grace Brethren (4-0, 2-0).

Jackson Beauchamp led the Lancers’ defense with 10 tackles and a quarterback sack.

Viewpoint 50, Windward 12--Sherwin Shilati carried 36 times for 311 yards and five touchdowns in a Heritage league game at Viewpoint.

The senior running back scored on runs of five, one, 15, five, and two yards in eclipsing 300 yards rushing for the third time in his career.

The Patriots (3-0, 2-0), who held a 33-0 halftime lead over Windward (1-3, 0-2), have outscored opponents, 160-26, in three games.
