7 TONIGHT BREA OLINDA HIGH
Option quarterback Jason Whieldon, last year’s Orange County passing leader (27 TDs, six interceptions), is among the county’s most dangerous players. Orange Lutheran is averaging 47 points, “and the thing people don’t realize is their defense is just as good,” said Woodbridge Coach Rick Gibson. Woodbridge consistently has one of the county’s best defenses, which has provided the Warriors with a 17-game unbeaten streak. Left tackle Doug Nienhuis (sprained knee) is out, putting pressure on replacement Kevin Pratt. The game probably hinges on whether Woodbridge can keep Orange Lutheran’s offense on the sidelines.
