No. 4 Capistrano Valley 9, No. 8 Troy 9 (Capistrano Valley wins on games, 71-61)--Leigh Anne Merryman swept in singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for host Capistrano Valley (10-2).

Palos Verdes Peninsula 10, No. 2 Woodbridge 8--Adriana Hockicko swept in singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-2, for host Woodbridge (10-3), the top-ranked team in Southern Section Division II. Peninsula (11-0), top-ranked in Division I, won eight of nine doubles sets.

In Century League boys’ cross-country:

Santa Ana Valley 15, El Modena 50--Jose Bustos finished first in 16 minutes 14 seconds for Santa Ana Valley (4-0). Pedro Munguia was second (16:16) and Victor Lopez, Erik Estrada and Brice Juarez all finished in 16:18.

Estancia 16, Westminster 42--Freshman Humberto Rojas won in 17:33 over three miles for Estancia (3-1) at Westminster High.

In Ocean League girls’ golf:

Ocean View 139, Santa Monica 145--Diane Scott shot five-over 41 at Meadowlark for host Ocean View (8-5, 2-2).

In the Serra League:

Rosary 125, No. 5 Mater Dei 137--Medalist Maggie Barnett shot 41 at Fullerton’s par-33 course for Rosary.

In the Sunset League:

Huntington Beach 112, Fountain Valley 123--Brianna Burden shot two-over 33 at David L. Baker for host Huntington Beach.

In nonleague girls’ golf:

No. 1 University 120, El Dorado 151--Angela Won birdied the par-five sixth and ninth holes and shot par 36 at Strawberry Farms for host University (10-0).

No. 7 Newport Harbor 135, No. 4 Marina 142--Sophomore Kelly Hunt had four pars and shot five-over 41 at Santa Ana Country Club for host Newport Harbor (9-0).
