Antelope Valley 40, Lancaster 21--Demetre Booker completed nine of 12 passes for 209 yards and tied a school record by throwing for five touchdowns to lead the visiting Antelopes.

Booker tied the record held by Joe Watt, an assistant coach for Antelope Valley College who watched the game from the sideline.

Four of Booker’s touchdown passes were thrown to different receivers. Ron Miller had three catches for 52 yards, including touchdowns of 15 and 20 yards.

Booker was also the leading rusher for the Antelopes (2-4, 1-0), gaining 58 yards in 14 carries.

Lancaster (1-5, 0-1) lost fumbles on its first three possessions. Antelope Valley scored after each of the first two fumble recoveries.

Tony Ortiz scored on a 25-yard pass from Josh Pratt early in the second quarter that pulled Lancaster to within 14-7. Ortiz finished with 73 yards and one touchdown in 10 carries.
