FOCUS: ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY NEWS : LAGUNA BEACH
The City Council will meet tonight to consider final approval for the Treasure Island resort development plan.
The council gave unanimous preliminary approval last week at a special meeting where it was announced that Five Star Resort LLC, a partnership between the Athens Group and Marriott International, had purchased the property.
City Manager Kenneth C. Frank estimated that the city will put up about $2.4 million, money that will be recouped from bed tax revenue.
The council meets at 7 p.m. in chambers, 505 Forest Ave.
